Ok, now it depends on the seat of the pan where the cistern rests and the flush pipe goes as to which CC washer you would use. Now, some CC pans have a circular indentation around the hole the flush pipe goes into, on these you should use the circular doughnut rubber washer. Now on some CC pans there isn't that indentation so you should use a cone shaped rubber 'doughnut' or a foam normal circular one.
If you disturbed the flush valve while replacing the CC kit you'll need to replace the rubber washer and clean off any sealant that some idiot may have put on. Top tip, NEVER use white sanitary sealant on the rubber washers or seals, it not only corrodes them over time, but can deform the washer when tightened and also makes things difficult when they need to be replaced. Plumbers mate is the way to go.
That should do the job.
I'm sure others will have their method of doing things as well. The more different ways you can learn to do a job or method the better.
