Auto Air Vent Bleed Device Leaking - What Has Happened?

I have a Baxi S62728 Quinta Auto Air Vent Bleed Device fitted to my heating system.

Recently I have had air lock issues following a system drain down which I seemed to get on top of bleeding radiators over a few days.

Yesterday noticed water on downstairs ceiling and when checked in airing cupboard the vent was leaking, the actual black plug on top has come off (cannot find it anywhere!!).

Currently running heating and hot water with a bucket under the drips, drips slow when I do not run the hot water and isolate the outlet from the tank coil.

What has happened?

Some didn’t come with them it’s just a 1/2/15mm bottle vent it’s gone as water shouldn’t come from there under normal conditions

Screwfix code 34359

You will need to drain down again or depending on your skill level and system you maybe able to lower the pressure and quickly swap it

Thanks, I did find a drawing in the end, the float is maybe stuck, I am sure its a knock on from the big air lock I had after a partial drain down to change the vent valve on the boiler. I have rang my insurance and there is someone coming tomorrow to sort it out, should be OK to limp along as I am until then.
