Also, washing machine hoses could be an option because they are the same thread as my existing valves. I'll buy a 2 metre hose and attach to both valves and see what gets hot first as they'll only be on for a few seconds.
Other way round push fit on solvent weld
Push fit is a different material that’s capable of taking a higher temperature for a longer period without failure
I thought I'd update this thread on my heating system after 5 years of use. It's still working well and I've added more rads as I've finished rooms, I've got one small leak on the 3/4" valve feeding one of the manifold that I'm sure is...
Yep metric and imperial versions most likely if it’s old will be imperial and very brittle
Turn the water on slowly let it fill the pipe with hardly any pressure then once full finish off opening the stop tap
Update: Perrin and Rowe have supplied a complete tap replacement FOC under the manufacturer’s 25 year warranty. Excellent customer service from a great company.
Well that’s strange as they’ve supplied me one recently I would push more and state there liable for showers and taps as there blocking up also you shouldn’t drink the tap water
They would normally supply you with a brand new cylinder as when it degrades it breaks off and can clog stuff so defo shouldn’t be used once identified
Yes trim down the brass 1/2 thread to match your build up afterwards eg normally make sure the female iron fitting is flush on the front with the plasterboard etc
Ideally need an aav on the boiler pipe as the gurgling you hear is a vacuum sucking the water out of the boiler trap
Or the boiler condense piping in different
So has copper tube
Too many fittings to convert to each end eg hob end you would need a bent female iron and the supplied cooker elbow so 3 joints that end
